BRICK CITY: Brick City is a television documentary/mini-series from the Sundance Channel based on Newark, NJ.  Described as a non-fiction companion piece to HBO’s The Wire, it chronicles in traditional documentary style the issues facing Newark (and in turn many American cities), how the city’s officials and residents alike react, as well as their plans to solve the city’s problems.  Like The Wire, it’s not just about the drug dealers and the cops.  It’s about the “city.”  Definitely worth checking out.   For Netflix users, episodes are available for instant streaming and on DVD.  Be sure to follow this link to the show’s website too: http://www.sundancechannel.com/brick-city/
