MOSCOW PLANS TO DOUBLE ITS GEOGRAPHIC SIZE:
In response to Moscow’s traffic congestion and overcrowding issues, the city has proposed a plan that will take its current acreage of 264,000 to 620,000. The hope is that much of the activity happening in the heart of Moscow, including business headquarters and government buildings, will move to the new areas that are mostly forestland and smaller villages currently.
